Grace is available to sign autographs

Chris and I love the magazine Garden and Gun. And they recently had a dog photography contest. Of course, we had to enter Grace!

I sent them several photos of her, and they chose one for their online gallery!

You can see her page by click here. She's under the Dogs at Play category. She didn't win, but we're proud all the same.

Porter Versus the Flowers

"Porter, what are you doing?"

"Oh nothing, Mother. Just admiring you....and these lovely flowers."

"I feel as though they may be mocking me."

"I need to show them who's boss."

"Porter they aren't mocking you. Leave my flowers alone!"

"Just let me get one bite of them."

"Porter, you're supposed to stop and smell the flowers, not their water!"

"I must show them my cat strength!"

"Porter! Stop it!"

"Fine, Mother."

"I shall sit in your tray now and stare at them."

"For now..."

Bath Time

Some times, you reach behind your ear and realize you need a bath.

So you lick.

And you lick.

And you stretch to get those hard-to-reach spots.

And when you're finally clean, right down to your toes

It's time to take a nap.

Animals Gone Wild

I'm really enjoying the video camera on my new camera. Especially since I have such good subjects. Here's the latest from Porter and Grace.

Have I mentioned that Porter eats cardboard boxes? And have I mentioned that Grace gets really excited when she plays with Porter?

Don't worry, Porter doesn't actually ingest the cardboard, and Grace never gets excited enough to actually hurt Porter.

So basically, no animals were harmed in the making of this video.

Happy Birthday, Porter!

Porter, you're two years old today (plus a little probably.)

Two years ago, Chris brought home Porter. He found him outside a bar, late at night, with no mother or family in site. (In reality, Grace and I were waiting patiently at home!)

Porter was so tiny!

(The artwork on the fridge was Bryce's, not Chris' as you might think.)

Grace wasn't sure what to think of him, but she was so good with him. I think it helped that he was so little.

And, I loved him. Note how big his ears and paws were compared to his little body.

He loved playing with Grace's tail...and still does.

And getting into places he didn't belong.

And laying on Grace's bed, where he didn't belong.

And on me, where of course he belonged!

Then, we finally put him to work.

But he still found his way into places he didn't belong.

But he is so cute!

Happy Birthday Port Man. We love you!!

Now get out of the sink and put that stopper back!
