My Coffee Cup

This is my travel coffee cup.

I use it every morning. I goes with me to work and sits patiently next to me, providing my morning caffeine fix.

Today my coffee cup is sad. It's sad because it no longer gets to go to work with me in the mornings.

It doesn't get to go to work with me in the mornings because I'm not going to go to work in the mornings.

I quit my job!!

And even better than that, I have another job!!!

AND even better than that, I will be based out of my house!!!!!

I've taken a job with Green Line Marketing Group as a senior marketing specialist. I can't wait to begin work with a new batch of clients, and rely a lot more on my writing, creative thinking and history in media. I think it's going to be a great match.

So, my travel mug will not be getting its morning exercise. It looks like I may be using its cousin a lot more.

Hey Weekend, I remember you!

I haven't really experienced a weekend since I've changed jobs. When you don't work, everyday is a weekend!

This is really my first Friday to enjoy the weekend, and really, I'm enjoying looking back at the week.

I worked my first full week at Valeo, and I'm really excited about my managerial opportunities. I'm also learning tons about internet marketing. It's really fascinating. I'm learning so much about things I don't know, but also have lots to add with customer relationships and account managing. I think it will be a great fit for me. If you have a business and need internet presence, give me a call!

1 month

That's how long I've been unemployed. My last day at the magazine was May 29th and yesterday, June 29th, I accepted a job offer. Take that recession!

I am now the new account manager at Valeo Marketing here in Memphis. I'm very excited to get started and back to a work routine. I think Chris may miss me being around the house, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc., but an additional paycheck may sway him ;)

So long soap operas (no I never got that bored), mornings with Food Network and mid-day grocery shopping. I'm headed back to the real world!
