Double Rainbow! What does it mean?

To understand this post, you much watch this video.

It's recorded by a guy who gets really excited and emotional about a double rainbow. I don't condone it, but he may have been involved in some drugs here.

So as we headed out to New Mexico this past week, we, mostly Chris, played off of this video quite a bit.
For example, we would see a large bird flying, and I would say, "oh look, Chris, there's a huge bird flying." And, he would respond, "A huge bird? What does it meeean?"

And then we saw this from our house.

Can you see the two rainbows? The brightest one on the right and the faint one on the left?

It was a double rainbow!! In the mountains of Taos.

What does it meeeean??

My Landscaper

Look at our new rock landscaping!

I think Chris did a great job, and although there was lots of sweating and dirt, it looks better and was much cheaper than having a "professional" do it.

That said, if you want someone to work on your landscaping, Chris is available. He offers good rates ;)

Sicky Mc-Sickerson

I'm sick.

I've been sick for a little over a week. I thought it was allergies, but as I got worse, I finally went to the doctor.

Bronchitis.

Yuck.

Thankfully, I've got a great doctor who prescribed me this.

Yes.
Liquid Gold.

Pure awesomeness.

The Bachelorette #2

My second bachelorette party was in Greenwood, MS, at The Alluvian and Viking Cooking School

It was for Jenny. She was excited to be there.
And so was Laura.

Friday we went to dinner at Lusco's

and had this waiter.

Laura and I got into the spirit of things by splitting a wine cooler. Yes. A wine cooler was on the menu...and they only had one...and we split it in frosted mugs. We're classy ladies.

As we were leaving the restaurant, a group of older folks were leaving and asked us what we were doing there. We told them it was Jenny's bachelorette party, and they gave us bottle of wine and two Mike's Hard Limonades in celebration.
Random? yes. Awesome? yes.

Here's the gang, sans Sarah, after dinner.

Friday night we played some games, talked a lot and went to bed. Saturday we got up, had some spa appointments and headed to lunch.
Sarah and me at lunch.

Saturday night was our cooking class at the Viking Cooking School. Look at the super cute aprons! The green ones were from Laura, and she had our names put on them. Jenny's apron was black and white and had her name in purple. Such great keepsakes, and they made for super cute photos.

This was the menu for the night.

We also had some wine to aid in the cooking process.

We were all happy to be there!

This was our plate after all the cooking was done. It was a feast!

Did I mention that we got to torch our own creme bruelees?

Jenny really had the touch. Note the torch and the brulee are on fire.

Happy Bachelorette Party, Jenny!

The Bachelorette #1

I have been so fortunate to spend the last two weekends with some really fun girls.

Weekend before last, I traveled to Tunica for Meghan's bachelorette party. I forgot to take my camera so I've stolen some pictures from the other girls.

Me, Megan G. and Berkley. We look so classic in our black.

The entire gang!

And the bull.

We spent the weekend hanging out in a cabana by the pool, going to spa treatments, gambling a little, dancing a lot and having a fun, fun time. I roomed with Megan G., and we hit it off.

I've got to find a picture of me and the bride-to-be to finish off my collection of the weekend! I think I can confirm it was a success party. Did you see that bull?

Peace Out, July

Thank God it's August. July overstayed her welcome and cost me a fortune. I'm none too sad to see her go.

My house took July's presence personally, and she fell ill.

House got overheated. A man came to woo her back below 87 degrees. He visited her three times, until finally he offered her a new damper motor. This made her happy. But only for a short period of time.

A few days later, House became upset again, and the man returned. He returned another time after that with a control panel, and this seemed to make her happy. Until a few days later when thoughts of July turned her sour again.

She became hot and wanted nothing to do with the first man. So another one was summoned.

He came quickly and showered her with a new dual capacitor. This lightened her spirits, and she had a glorious weekend.

Now, it is Monday, and House is sad again. She finds August not much better than July in fact, and has requested her latest caller to be summoned. We hope he brings something to cool her 87 degree heart.
