The arrival of Spring and my saintly cat

Look!

It's Spring!!

I'm so happy that Chris remembered to plant tulip bulbs all those cold months ago because know we have these beauties outside.

And, inside we have these beauties!

So those tulips came from the store, but that cat came straight from heaven!

Seriously, let me tell you about Porter's day. Well, he went to the vet.

He traveled like a trooper to our vet, located approximately one mile from our house, and he waited patiently in the exam room for the 20 minutes we had to wait.

The animal nurse came into our room, removed Porter from his carrier and weighed him. Porter was quite and stood on the scale like a big boy.

After some more waiting, the bulk of the 20 minutes, the real vet came in. Bring on the hissing! The animal nurse and vet were in there, and I had my eye on them. They were so gentle, and simply held him around his chest so he couldn't jump off the table. Hissing. The vet moved Porter's head to look at his eyes and mouth. Hissing. The animal nurse was petting Porter the entire time. Hissing. He got one quick shot in the butt....BIG hissing. Then, the vet reached around to pick him up to put him back in his carrier, and she got not only the regular hissing but a full-out swat of the arm and clawed paw. Thankfully, Porter missed her and no bodily harm was caused.

Back in the carrier, Porter was quiet. I carried him out, paid and got in the car. Totally quiet. We got home, he was released from his carrier, and Grace followed him around the house smelling him for several minutes. Porter was perfectly quiet.

What do you have to say for your ugly behavior, mister?
